LTAP’s mission is to transfer transportation technologies and procedures developed at the state and federal levels through training, technical assistance and other customer services to municipal officials and their staff.

In Pennsylvania, municipalities maintain more than 75,000 miles of roadways.  Road and street construction and maintenance account for a large portion of municipal budgets.  By providing technical information and proven technologies to deal with roadway maintenance and safety methods, LTAP is helping municipalities to make the best use of every roadway maintenance dollar.

The Annual PennDOT LTAP Training Needs Survey has been mailed to the Municipalities located in Blair County.

We appreciate your input and ask that you return the completed survey as soon as possible.

Once we have recorded and analyzed your feedback, we will contact you with training dates.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) have commissioned the preparation of the Smart Transportation Guidebook. Its focus is to guide the development of non-limited access roads as context sensitive roadways, with the goal of creating transportation facilities that work well for all users, are affordable, and support smart growth community planning goals.
